Yebba just made her long-awaited comeback with her sophomore LP "Jean" out now via RCA Records. Arriving five years since her acclaimed debut "Dawn", the American singer-songwriter introduced more intimate vibes as her vocals shine brighter than before. Known for her hit single "Evergreen" from way back, her new project captures her "adulting years", wherein she navigates healing, uncertainties, and letting go. Led by the lead single "Yellow Eyes", fans were greatly surprised by her first solo release in over two years. Now that we have a full taste of her new music, it's time to celebrate on the road as Yebba kicks off the Jean Tour this 2026.
After five years of reflection, Yebba finally followed through, amid much anticipation from fans since the release of her debut "Dawn" back in 2021. Yebba named the album "Jean" after her late grandma, and spent some time making the record in "West Memphis", just as the song shared. In honor of her grandmother and letting out life reflection in her adulting years, it's a heartfelt record that explores grief, healing, and letting go. Free from pressure, Yebba is able to share the environment that felt safe as she crafted this songs down to her true feelings.
"These songs hold the weight of the past while clearing a path forward," Vibe shared in a review of "Jean". "Yebba remembers the way that it was, but also sees how she has grown beyond those restraints."
Years since we've last heard from her, she's returned with something so pure and close to her heart. Produced by John Rooney and written across her travels in Arkansas, Dallas, and finally record at the Electric Lady Studios in New York, you can definitely feel the effort and care she put in this record.
Her upcoming Jean Tour will mark Yebba's first-ever headlining trek, and you can expect an intimate & emotional live show as she takes her signature R&B, pop, and blue-eyed soul energies to the stage. On the setlist, you can expect her iconic singles "Evergreen", "All I Ever Wanted", "Die Trying", and "Yellow Eyes" to make it on stage.
