ABOUT THE RUNAROUNDS

Produced by Skydance Television and created by Jonas Pate, The Runarounds follows the story of a group of high school graduates forming a rock band. The Amazon Prime original features real band members — William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock and Jesse Golliher in the cast. It may be a TV show, but the band sure is real. With 21 million streams and a sold-out 2025 tour, it’s clear that people can’t get enough of these fellas whose music feels like a rock-out roadtrip. Now, they’re calling ya’ll aboard the minivan. 

Formed in 2020 in a casting call among over 5,000 musicians for the show “Outer Banks,” the members ended up performing on its third episode. After which, they continued to play gigs and started writing their own bangers. From the creators of Outer Banks, they’re now starring in their own show, and fans have already been begging for season 2. Writing and performing the music on the new show themselves, it’s hard to resist their signature energies. 

On the show, the band is “united by their love of music and near-impossible dream of stardom,” as That Eric Alper writes in a feature article. Over the summer, they go through every teenager’s tangled life mess — from falling in love, causing a ruckus, getting into trouble, and more. Through it all, they create a bond so strong, weaved through the power of great rock music.
