Los Borjas is set to perform at the Irving Plaza in New York City on Friday, this coming November 24th! Their 8-date USA tour will run for two months, covering the whole of November and concluding in early December.
Luis Fernando Borjas and Ronald Borjas began their musical careers by joining the Super Band of Venezuela GUACO, best known as a dance music orchestra that began as a Zulia bagpipe group. During their time with the former band, they have succeeded in winning two Latin Grammys for Best Contemporary Tropical Album.
Luis Fernando remained for twenty-six years in the group and moved on to his solo career in late September three years ago as they formally closed a successful tour of the United States. On the other hand, Ronald joined the band in the early 2000s and, after eleven years, decided to part ways with the Super Band as well.
After ten years of pursuing separate paths, the duo released their first duet single, "A Matter of Time," accompanied by a video clip debuting just recently last August 17th. This audiovisual perfectly captures their reunion and reconciliation while symbolizing a new opportunity to combine their talents in this new music partnership.
The two explain that although it is usually associated with love, this permission to forgive and meet again has a universal meaning and applies to almost everything. “A Matter of Time is the first chapter in this story of the reunion of the Borjas. It is a pact of love and family represented in a song," Luis Fernando shares in the material.
