Picture this: we’ll gang up at the Irving Plaza - excited for all the fun we’re about to have at Governor’s Ball this weekend and speaking on who our favorite acts will be. We’ll wear all our Kingdom Hearts and flyest clothes for the party - dawning our Crosses and the most Burfict white tees. We’ll bring our cameras so we can take a lot of Jpegs, too. And more than anything, when it’s all over and said and done, we’ll say “I recovered from this” - “this” being the show, that is. ‘Cause when Jpegmafia comes to town - we all run to the stage so we can experience his greatness!
Jpegmafia, hip hop’s hottest emcee who’s finally taking over from the ground up, is coming to Irving Plaza this year as a pre-show to the Governor's Ball Festival - and we’re all invited to the show! Coming to Irving Plaza on June 5th as an aftershow for Governors Ball Music Festival, this 2025 Governor’s Ball After Dark Show will feature Jpegmafia as the main and only act for the night as we sing some of his best hits and songs that he’s consistently put out in the hip hop game over the past two decades. Even On Or Off The Drugs there’s no denying that Jpeg has had a magnificent run since the 2020s began - he’s released six projects since 2020, had a collab album, a world tour for his latest project, and gotten A-list features from other artists like VInce Staples and Denzel Curry. His latest album, I Lay Down My Life For You, has seen Jpeg have a never ending tour with dates all across The Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Now, taking a short break from the tour and with Governor’s Ball 2025 weekend approaching - Jpeg is ready to show the east coast what he’s made of. And, we’re so ready for it.
If you’ve never heard of Jpeg before or his illustriously insane production - shame on you! Though we won’t blame you entirely. He has stayed under the radar for nearly the entirety of his early career, but back around the mid 2010s and after he released his project Veteran, his name really began to heat up on the global hip hop scale. And, what’s even more impressive - is that Jpeg produces all of his own tracks and always has since he first got on the scene. And as his career has progressed, he’s only gotten more experimental and taken more risk with his production and his approach to hip hop. Often blending his sound into R&B, heavy metal, electro bass, and other genres up and down the musical spectrum, if you haven’t heard his latest project yet - first begin with that.
