Irving Plaza is the only place to go in town for your daily dose of live music and hit, once in a lifetime performances when your favorite artists come in town all year long on their major local and international tours. Whether it’s your first time here or you’re a dedicated weekend warrior - we can’t to have you front and center here as Deltron 3030 takes the stage this October 5th. Celebrating 25 Years of Deltron 3030, the group's first album that propelled them into stardom, we’re in for a treat here this October - and so is the rest of the country. The tour will be hitting stops in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, L.A., Chicago, San Diego, Boston, and of course - right here in NYC.

Deltron 3030 happened during a blip in time in hip hop where early 2000s jazz, hip hop, and chill wave electronica all came to cohesion to create some truly eclectic sounds and instrumentals for hip hoppers to rap over and create to. Deltron came up around this time as well, and that’s why their concept album - set in the year 3030 and tells a story of time traveling cyborgs. Written in only two weeks and utilizing inspiration from Sun Ra and George Clinton - the album is sample heavy, intricate, and transports you to a space not easily described by many words in the English dictionary. And maybe that’s a good thing - vibes weigh supreme here for the group, and there’s no mistaking their music and the far-out futuristic vibes they created. They created an ethos that inspired the sample heavy sounds of today - but did it so pure and warm, it’s hard to replicate the feeling of nostalgia they induce in today’s digital age. And - that’s a great thing.
