ABOUT BKTHERULA

Brooklyn Candida Rodriguez, who goes by her stage name “BKTHERULA,” hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and always had a heart for music as she grew up. At age 9, she recorded her first song using a tape recorder, and started uploading tracks to SoundCloud by 13. In 2018, her SoundCloud account started gaining traction as streams for her tracks “Faygo” and “Left Right” started soaring high. In 2020, she found her big break as “Tweakin' Together” dominated TikTok. 

Dropping her first album “Love Santana” in January 2020 and serving non-stop releases ever since, the young star has achieved several milestones — including a Rolling Loud performance in Miami, Lyrical Lemonade's 2024 Summer Smash in Chicago, and joining Ice Spice’s Y2K! World Tour. It’s definitely no ordinary feat for the rap star who just turned 23.

A NEW ERA — LUCY

Bktherula released her sixth studio album “Lucy” back in June, with singles “Delilah,”  “Bbgirlgoslow,” and “Dumb Shit.” Pushing boundaries once more, the new record features collaborations with Joey Bada$$, Ty Dolla $ign, and KayCyy. Solidifying her place is the hard-hitting rap scene, she sure is a promising star whose music just keeps getting better and better.
