With a new album coming out on August 8th, the American indie-rock band BAD SUNS is kicking off an exciting new era. Heading back to the road this fall, they’re all geared up and down to perform their hits, favorites, and fresh music live on stage at the ACCELERATOR TOUR. Known for their upbeat doses of riffs and rhythms, their songs’ reflective lyrics always take listeners on a journey back memory lane. MYSTERY GIRL

The band previewed a new song, “Mystery Girl,” ahead of the album’s release. The track is an ode to lead vocalist & songwriter Christo Bowman’s teenage years, relationships, and life adventures that made him who he is today. “There’s this beautiful new chapter in my life unfolding, and there’s mixed emotions that come with it,” the man said about the track. Looking back, he says that the song simply navigates life through teenage years, “being a young person who is ultimately just looking for love.”

A ‘mystery girl’ no more, fond memories of a youthful past will never be erased. Fans have greatly resonated with the track’s relatable themes and youthful energies — a trademark Bad Suns vibe.

Accelerating quickly, the band is all geared up for a new era. They aren’t hitting the breaks on this one at all ‘cause they’ve got a lot to unpack. “Accelerator being our fifth album, our first studio album as a trio, and the first album of my 30s, we knew that this was going to be really important,” Bowman said via an official release. 

Seeing the album as a ‘mountain to climb,’ the boys are definitely conquering life and their passion for music. The first preview of the album was made via its first single “Communicating,” which Rolling Stone hailed as one of the year’s best songs so far. A song that feels like driving with your windows down, it has stirred excitement among fans who can’t wait to hear the whole album.

“Going to the studio every day and being in the room with the guys, I had this sense that I’m going to look back and know that was probably one of the best times of my life.”
