On Tuesday, September 15th, 2026, Irving Plaza will become the ultimate venue for a high-energy, loud and wild show as Chad Gray of Hellyeah and Mudvayne brings his incredible talent to New York's stage. New York's music scene will feel the pulse of every song that is played as one of metal's most recognizable voices delivers a performance that will be experienced by all in attendance in the unique, and very intimate setting of this friendly venue.
Chad Gray is known for his work as the lead vocalist of two well known metal bands Hellyeah and Mudvayne. Gray will play songs from both bands including classic Mudvayne songs like "Dig," "Happy?," and "Not Falling." The singer also recently rejoined Mudvayne and released a new single "Forget to Remember" in 2022. The band Hellyeah released a new studio album "Welcome Home" in 2019 which features intense tracks that will be played live at this show. Chad Gray, still performing Mudvayne's nu-metal roots as well as the harder-edged sound of Hellyeah, the band he co-founded in 2006 with fellow Mudvayne members Vinnie Abuelton and Tom Maxwell, as well as guitarist Will "Warmouth" Beasley and drummer Bob Fernandez, will be performing songs from Hellyeah's last studio album, 2019's Welcome Home, as well as older material. Mudvayne recently re-united, releasing the single "Forget to Remember" in 2022, and in 2022 released The Version 2.0 (The Lost Songs), an LP's worth of lost tracks from the late 90's/early 2000's.
A cool fact about this performer is that as the lead singer and co-founder of Mudvayne, Gray Himself developed the famous Mudvayne stage personas and imagery that shaped the band's unique identity during their formative period. Chad Gray, lead vocalist of Hellyeah and Mudvayne, brought the personas he created for Mudvayne to life on stage during their early years of touring as well as the very often strange and surreal imagery used for the album artwork. Whether you have seen Chad Gray live with Hellyeah or with Mudvayne, or if you have not seen him live at all, the performance is guaranteed to be electrifying. All of the venues that he has played have been packed with the most enthusiastic fans in the house. As recognized by the Metal community to be one of the most versatile frontmen in business today, Gray has toured with the biggest acts in Metal and can bring the intensity and physicality of a true Metal performance to the stage.
