Redveil is coming back on tour after 3 years of waiting. In support of his fourth album, the indie-rap upstart is lauching his 25+ date Sankofa Tour, kicking off in February in Houston, Texas with a final stop on March at Mesa, Arizona. Hip-hop fans in New York, listen up! You need to join Redveil on his live performance with guest artist Chenayder at Irving Plaza on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Maryland rapper-producer Marcus Morton or popularly known as Redveil had charted the past few years in the limelight. Debuting with his self-released and self-produced album 'Bittersweet Cry' (2019), listeners-turned-fans enjoyed his deeply reflective track that sounded more mature than a work of a 15-year-old. His follow-up records, 'Niagara' (2020) and 'Learn 2 Swim' (2022), plummeted him further into internet stardom.
This year, fans will have the chance to enjoy his latest project, entirely self-produced and composed like his prior albums. Experience hip-hop at its most vulnerable state with lyrically open beats. It might just be his most ambitious record to date, leaning further into live instruments, session musicians, and professional studio equipment. Once the beat drops, you'll be immersed in the good and bad of life in his early 20s, Black religiousness, and his hard-earned victories. Rap along to vividly energetic tracks like "history" and "pray4me", both of which are yelled to the point that your voice becomes hoarse.
Redveil will also reintroduce the sweet beats of his older tracks such as his first single, "Bare Naked Hatred," which featured Kira Corduroy, "Soulfood," a track that landed on Tyler, The Creator's list of favorite 2020 tracks, the trippy "morphine (da ways) and a lot more.
Orlando native artist Chenayder will open this night's show. Vibe along to his best hits such as his breakout record "Fall", an addictively soft tune that brought in over 500 thousand plays on SoundCloud and made its way on the TikTok trending tab.
