He isn't just any musician, the Armenian piano virtuoso have wowed audiences with his groove power, fusing potent jazz improvisation and progressive rock while staying true to his Armenian roots by blending rich folkloric music. When he was only eleven years old, he won the Montreux Jazz Festival's piano competition. At seventeen, he gained more fans with his debut album, 'World Passion'. His accolades have continued to piled up throughout the years, including a first prize at the 8ème Concours de Solistes de Jazz de Monaco and Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, the Vilcek Prize for Creative Promise in Contemporary Music, Paul Acket Award in the North Sea Jazz Festival and the ECHO Jazz Awards.
