The DJ-producer twins are back on the road! Matt & Chris Drake - the hottest rising names in EDM behind the MC4D project are taking their signatire country-folk-EDM sonic energies to the big stage. Matt and Chris' EDM Down Under Mix series that topped the charts on SoundCloud and U.S. dance charts + official remixes had them amassing over 10M+ streams over the past year. On TikTok and Instagram, their work has been viewed by millions, recognized for their ability to bridge EDM and country music.
Making themselves known as a pioneer in this new blended genre, they've got themselves a busy schedule with an EP release, high-tier remixes, and festival gigs last year. Their work is simply unique, something that fans just can't hear from anybody else.
In a conversation with Relentless Beats, the pair have shared some details about their life and music. As twin brothers, they grew up playing the piano and started writing their own songs. As the family got their first macbook, they played around with Garageband - something that many artists have played around with before making it big.
"We decided to put out the first Down Under Country mix not knowing if it would catch on with country or dance fans, and luckily it just kept slowly building over time to what it’s grown into today," they told RB.
Sharing what they think is the best thing about being a musician, "Probably having the freedom to create every day- there’s nothing we love more than writing songs," they said while recognizing the amazing set of singers and songwriters that they've worked with, altogether pushing boundaries of creativity.
