Hitting up Irving Plaza on any given night to see some of your favorite shows as they make their way to town is always going to be a welcome treat for us here in the Manhattan mega music hall. The Plaza is located right in the heart of lower Manhattan and super close to Union Square station, so you’ll always be able to find your way here and your way home after a wild night out, too! And whether it's your first time here or you’re an already seasoned weekend warrior who loves to rage with us every weekend - we’re so excited to see you! We can’t wait to have you here! We hope you stay awhile! And most importantly - we hope you’re ready for a night with up-and-comer to the scene Mon Rovia, the West African born soul and slow r&b singer who has been delivering us lo-fi emotional classics since 2020. And with his 2025 A Place To Gather Tour happening right here at Irving Plaza on Tuesday November 18th, we are set to be immersed in his complex and eclectic musical world that has created intersections of genres we have never seen before. And this tour won’t only be coming here as Mon wraps up his 2025 touring season - it’ll quite literally be everywhere. Including hitting stops like The Howard Theatre in D.C., Ohana Festival in California, The Scott Inn in Texas, Toronto’s Opera House, Sweden and The U.K., Philly’s Brooklyn Bowl, and of course - right here at Irving Plaza for all of our indie era pleasure. 

Relocated to the U.S in the early 2000s due to the second Liberian War, Mon began to use music as a way to connect with his roots and new realities as he transitioned to adulthood overseas. Coining the term Afro-Appalachain, Rovia first released his song On My Way back in 2020. And after going viral a few times on TikTok during the last few years - the Mon hype has been super real, and has garnered him over two million monthly streamers across all streaming platforms - as well as a global tour with Quin XCII, and his own chance to shine, too.
