Spike and the Gimme Gimmes may not be releasing music any time soon, but they’re still set for greatness this year. To start, they’ve officially changed their name from the long-held “Me First and the Gimme Gimmes” to a more specific “Spike and the Gimme Gimmes,” the band has announced a lengthy tour with dates across Europe, the US, and Canada, for starters. They’ll be performing their long list of expertly mastered punk rock covers of hit songs from 80s disco to country to good old fashioned rock n roll.
