Named after the Akkadian god of mayhem, this progressive metalcore band sure knows how to sustain the chaos and excitement amongst their loyal fans. Since their formation in 2009, they have created music that showcases their modern and unique sound, and their fans can’t wait to see more of them!

On June 2, 2024, “the spearhead of the whole modern progressive metalcore movement," ERRA is taking over the stage at Irving Plaza in New York!

They are known for their blend of an innovative sense of melody, precise stop-and-start orchestration, and the frontal assault of heavy metal. The technical metalcore group, broke through to the mainstream in 2013 with the release of Augment, their sophomore album, which peaked at number one on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Their successive releases, Drift (2016) and Neon (2018), met with a similar degree of popularity, and in 2024 they released Cure, their sixth long player.

The show is almost sold out! Book your tickets here, and you won’t regret it!

The new album "Cure" by prolific metalcore progressives ERRA will be out via UNFD on April 5. The band has also revealed their spring 2024 headline North American tour, supporting acts MAKE THEM SUFFER, VOID OF VISION, and NOVELISTS. The tour begins in Philadelphia on April 23 and ends in New York on June 2.

"Cure" is ERRA's sixth album, and it accentuates and develops the progressive sound and guitar-driven approach that have made the band famous. After the self-titled release in 2021, "Cure" is an incredible display of unadulterated brilliance combined with surgical technical proficiency. It's not simple to be both musically skilled and emotionally potent at the same time. However, ERRA makes it seem simple. "Cure" is an exciting audio journey that you hope never ends.

The title tune "Cure" features plate-shifting patterns, complicated guitar work, and vocals that alternate between screaming and singing, all of which exude a sinister atmosphere.

"'Cure' was one of the last songs we wrote for the records," says guitarist/vocalist Jesse Cash. "I had this groove riff that I was just so obsessed with, to the point that I wanted to stay with it for the full duration of the song. So even though the song stays in 4/4 for the most part, we're always staying locked into this dotted sequence of on rhythm guitars and kick, making the rhythm feel complex yet easy to latch onto as a listener. In the final breakdown section, we stay with this dotted sequence, but switch the time signature to 6/8 for a few bars, before reverting back to 4/4 to close out the song. These playful tinkerings with time signature serve as a suitable introduction to the approach we took with grooves throughout the whole record."

When Erra lands in New York City, you all better be sure not to miss out! The Irving Plaza is the perfect place for this party and you need to be there for it. If you don't have tickets to the show yet, it's best if you secure them right now!
